St. Patrick’s Day is coming, and the luck of the Irish is coming with it! To celebrate, we’ve rounded up a few of the best events happening on Saturday, March 17 in San Francisco. There’s a little something for everyone, so don’t miss out!
10 a.m.-5 p.m.
San Francisco City Hall | Civic Center Plaza | 1 Doctor Carlton B Goodlett Place
Parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at 2nd and Market
Learn all about Irish history and culture while having a blast at the St. Patrick’s Day Festival at Civic Center Plaza and on Grove Street, from Polk to Larkin Streets. This long-standing event showcases Irish culture through live performances and entertainment, arts and crafts exhibitors, food and beverage concessions, children’s rides and inflatables, and nonprofits representing the Irish community.
The Parade – including more than 5,000 participants from all over the country – starts at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Second and Market and proceeds to City Hall. It’s not only a cherished local tradition but the largest St. Patrick’s Day event west of the Mississippi!
San Francisco City Hall | 1 Dr. Carlton Goodlett Place
Every year, city hall turns its lights green for St. Patrick’s Day – a great photo opportunity for you to capture San Francisco at its most Irish. The magic happens at dusk.
