The Storehouse—an urban coffee shop and general store located in the SF Shipyard—is the perfect spot to read a book, meet up with friends or relax with a Bayview-brewed latte or craft cold brew.

This unique mini-market is managed by Bobby Pooni (see his bio here), decorated with industrial lights and modern art, sells goods from local makers, tasty snacks, fresh produce and darn good coffee. The Storehouse offers carefully curated local favorites from these Bayview companies: Bay Area Gold Rush Honey, Jeramiah’s Pick Coffee, Yvonne’s Southern Sweets, Trop Bon, RX Candles and SF Cheesecake Company.

The Storehouse is always a trove of pleasant surprises, as well as household essentials, sundries and gourmet foods, and here’s some of what you’ll find on the shelves this month.

Jeramiah’s Pick Coffee Beans: Available in dark, medium and light roast, this whole bean coffee is sold in mason jars complete with a ribbon. Headquartered in India Basin, the specialty roasts include Ethiopia Sidamo, which features notes of lemon, cane sugar, berries and a slight wood and citrus flavor, and Tanzania Peaberry, a blend derived from the volcanic slopes of My. Kilimanjaro with a lighter-bodied and brighter taste. Bring it home to brew or share it as a gift.

Paqui: Why have plain tortilla chips when you can get Haunted Ghost Pepper or Fiery Chile Limon? These chips are made with real ingredients and are named after the Aztec word for “to be happy,” which you will be when you sample their five “fierce” flavors.

Quadratini: This unique, cube-shaped wafer snack comes from German company Loacker. Quadratini come in flavors such as hazelnut and dark chocolate, and you might find it hard to put the bag down after your first bite.

Perfect Bar: Created by a clean-living California family, Perfect Bar is a refrigerated protein bar created with clean ingredients, whole food protein and honey for a sweetener. The Perfect Bar lineup includes peanut butter coconut, mocha chip and dark chocolate almond. What could be better?

Harvest Snaps Red Lentil Snack Crisps: These health-conscious snacks are baked rather than fried, and each 1-ounce serving provides 5 grams of plant protein. Talk about a power snack. They are also gluten free and Non-GMO Project verified, offering flavors such as Tomato Basil and Hanabero that are hard to resist.

SkinnyPop: This snack not only tastes good—it’s good for you. SkinnyPop popcorn is for anyone with food aversions or allergies, as it’s free of dairy, wheat and gluten, uses natural or organic ingredients, and is kosher.

Along with an array of new, healthy snack offerings, The Storehouse has also added cold brews to its coffee menu. Not just iced coffee, cold brews are prepared and brewed with cool water over a 12 to 24-hour period. The resulting drink? A mellower coffee with a rounded taste, not watered down by melted ice.

Where else can you get cleaning supplies, a fresh pastry and a jar of locally-harvested honey in one stop? The Storehouse. Stop by at 451 Galvez Avenue at The SF Shipyard. It’s open from 6am to 7pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm on weekends. For more information, call 415-671-0643.
