New Year’s Eve Fire Ceremony & Meditation

Monday, December 31, 2018 from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am

Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center

401 Baker Street, San Francisco

Free (reservation required)

Join a real Fire Ceremony, with guided meditation, where you write the innermost thoughts you do not want to carry into the next year. In silence, toss your small paper into the fire and watch it burn. This transformative event invokes a fresh start to the new year.  Meditation, games, live music and words of wisdom complement the “Letting Go of the Old” fire ceremony, making it a unique and surely awe-inspiring experience.

“Tomorrow Never Dies,” a James-Bond-themed party with open bar

Monday, December 31, 2018 from 9 pm to 2 am

The Bond Bar

3079 16th Street, San Francisco

Get kitschy at this NYE celebration. The themed event, similar to a murder mystery dinner, will entertain any crowd. In full James Bond style, retrieve a secret document before midnight, eliminating threats along the way. And if the mission fails, simply enjoy an all-night open bar while in character.

Free Hugs at Midnight

Monday, December 31, 2018 at 11:30 pm

Golden Gate Bridge – Battery Cranston

Battery Cranston Road, San Francisco

Don’t have anyone to kiss? Not to worry! Ring in your new year hugging a stranger … atop a desolate (yet organically artistic) artillery fort. Nothing says fun like free hugs at a historical location of battle, right? The event is sponsored by HugTrain, an annual movement that travels throughout the U.S. around the holidays, organizing free hug pop-up events to raise spirits and celebrate human contact. The 10th Annual gathering will convene around the flagpole at the southeast side vista point in San Francisco at the Golden Gate bridge.

Whether you want to bring someone special, your best friend or even that cousin who stuck around through New Year’s, this will be a holiday spectacular you won’t want to miss!
