How long have you been in the industry?

I’ve been in the construction industry for 19 years! The last 5 of those years I’ve worked as a land developer for Lennar and FivePoint. I started out in construction management as an owners rep, which soon transitioned into project management for three general contracting companies. I managed projects on the new Bay Bridge, BART stations and the San Jose BART extension to name a few.

What excites you the most?

Our projects are immense, and like a puzzle so it’s a fun challenge! I get to wear a lot of hats. I also get to solidify contracts and jobs for local companies and members of the community, and work with them when they’re awarded contracts and jobs out at our site. I spend time presenting construction updates about The SF Shipyard and Candlestick to the community and answering questions. I want them to see how we’re benefitting the community with our developments.

I also get to engage with local companies and community members when they’re awarded contracts and jobs out at our site. I spend a lot of time out at our projects working with our contractors who’re making it happen.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My colleagues!!!  Working with such a talented and connected group of individuals continues to aid and amaze as we take on such dynamic and challenging projects.
