Join the community for a night of collaborative media productions that explore the theme of traditions, which is so relevant this time of year! The BAYCAT team will be presenting this in partnership with United Playaz and Young Community Developers. Invite your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors. Everyone is welcome to cheer on the students and meet the BAYCAT team as we celebrate creativity and community.

Sing, snack, and imbibe with neighbors and community arts organizations at Imprint City’s celebration of “arting” up Bayview in 2018. Along with savoring Raclette Pop-Up bites and Boxing Nun Brew, which was designed by 2017 BayviewLIVE art competition winner Christopher Burge, you can karaoke the evening away with friends. Portions of all Boxing Nun sales will go toward Imprint City’s 2019 programming.

The holidays are a time to indulge, and National Pastry Day is the perfect opportunity to patronize local businesses and treat yourself to a heavenly concoction of butter, sugar, and flour. Celebrate National Pastry Day with a delectable from a neighborhood bake shop, whether you try the coffee crunch cake at Love Patisserie & More or an almond croissant at Crepe & Brioche. Other places to stop by: Fox and Lion Bread, where all the bread is baked fresh, and Yvonne Southern Sweets, where customers say the butter cookies call to them.

 

Shipyard Annual Christmas Tree Giveaway

No one in the Shipyard will have to celebrate Christmas without a tree thanks to a partnership between the SF Guardsmen, the Mayor’s Office and the SF Housing Authority. Visit here to reserve a tree, and pick it up at the giveaway community festival that will feature a holiday-themed roller disco with the Church of 8 Wheels, photos with Santa, holiday goodies and face painting.

You’re invited to celebrate Kwanzaa at Bayview Opera House! There will be live performances, food, and family together at the Bayview Opera House. This year during Kwanzaa, it will be a celebration of all that keeps us alive and free!
