It’s fun, it’s free and it’s The First!
Don’t miss The San Francisco Shipyard’s inaugural event, The Launch – the newest in the city’s long and much-celebrated tradition of street fairs.
The Launch will feature live music, art installations, market vendors, food, drinks, prizes, family-friendly activities, maker demonstrations and more!
And while the fair is all new, we’re also nodding to the legacy and heritage of The San Francisco Shipyard and surrounding neighborhood, steeped in some of San Francisco’s most compelling traditions and captivating history. In short, we’re looking to entertain, educate, inspire and include!
That means everyone is welcome to the event on Saturday, Sept. 30, including your pets. The first 250 guests who check in at arrival will receive a free drink ticket – good for cocktails, wine or beer (for those 21 and over) or softdrinks.
While The Launch will offer plenty of options for purchase at the fair, outside food and beverages are permitted too.
To register for the freebies, just visit The Launch’s Eventbrite page.
Free parking is available onsite along Galvez Avenue. Use 451 Galvez Avenue as the destination. Public transit via the #19 Muni bus and bike parking are also available on Galvez Avenue, and there’s a Rideshare drop-off at Innes Avenue and Friedell Street. If you can, take public transit or ride your bike.
The future of The San Francisco Shipyard is planned to include thousands of new homes as well as plenty of commercial development including retail, creative workspace, R&D, and maker space, as well as artist and community areas and parks. Check back on this blog for additional events and other news.
