Transparent House Inc., an international and award winning creative studio, has created the ultimate Virtual Reality (VR) experience, showcasing the amazing transformation here at The San Francisco Shipyard over multiple decades.
Going into great depths of The SF Shipyard’s incredibly storied past, Transparent House has developed two photorealistic, interactive Virtual Reality (VR) apps for use with the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear and Google Cardboard viewers. With the “Past and Future VR Experience” app and the “The SF Shipyard VR Tour” app, everyone can now see first-hand the ever-changing landscape of the community with 3D floorplans and renderings to sales applications and videos that artfully combine highly crafted, photoreal 3D elements with live-action footage.
“Thanks to Transparent House’s ‘Past and Future VR Experience’ app, our community members, investors and prospective residents and tenants can easily step into the past to see, hear and feel what it was like to be on an active Navy Base in the 1940s during World War II,” said Sheryl McKibben, vice president of community operations for the FivePoint Northern California office. “Then, they can seamlessly transition to the future of The SF Shipyard, and experience the vibrant community of San Franciscans living, working and playing in this bustling neighborhood.”
For those looking to get a quick tour of one of the condominium flats at The SF Shipyard, “The SF Shipyard VR Tour” application will give users a fully stereoscopic and detailed 3D VR experience from anywhere around the world. Simply download the app Google Play and Apple’s App Store to a mobile device and pair it with any VR viewer, and wellah – you can tour these floorplans whenever you’d like, just as you would in person.
