  • Your Guide to Finding the Best Brews During San Francisco Beer Week

    Calling all craft-beer enthusiasts! The 2017 San Francisco Beer Week is upon us and starting Feb. 10 through Feb. 19, the Bay Area’s best breweries will come together to show off their favorite hops and signature brews through a variety of events and tastings. Here’s a look at some of the events making our “must try” list, including one exclusive to Bayview:

     

    SF Beer Week Opening Gala

    Head on down to Pier 48 and enjoy the largest and most-anticipated gathering to kick off the nine-day craft beer marathon!     16th Double IPA Festival

    For those looking for a stronger buzz, the 16th Double IPA Festival is where you need to be.     Brew it Yourself: Beer Making it at Home

    Now is your chance to learn how the masters brew their own beer!     Strong Beer Brunch

    Who knew beer and brunch went hand-in-hand?     Mess Around and Get a Tripel Dubbel at Laughing Monk Brewing

    For all you Warriors fans, Bayview’s own Laughing Monk Brewing is hosting a viewing party to watch the Splash Brother take down the Nuggets.   • First Friday at Bayview Opera House

    Y’all are in for a treat! Grab your cowboy hats, slip on your boots and join the Bayview Opera House for a night of fun at First Friday.

    Our Bayview neighbor is giving us a taste of the Old West with a line dancing class at 6pm followed by free line dancing guided by Ramona Pam the rest of the night. There will also be a live DJ, food and activities for the whole family.

  • The 3rd Annual Bayview Harvest Festival Returns Nov. 12

    Next Saturday, celebrate Bayview’s community spirit and rich food culture at the 3rd Annual Fall Harvest Festival presented by Imprint.City in conjunction with Bay Leaf Kitchen and Now Hunters Point.

    The family friendly event features free pony rides, a petting zoo and a bounce house for kids; food trucks; refreshments and a Farmer’s Market with great local produce.  Continue reading

  • Public Glass Launches “Libation Series”

    Oh, do we have a treat for you! This weekend, Public Glass in Bayview invites you to indulge, learn and celebrate as they kick off the first of a three-part series with the Local Brewer Competition.

    Public Glass’s new “Libations Series” is a thematic joining of minds combining the exceptional skills of local beer, wine and whiskey makers and celebrated glass artists. The series will begin with the Local Brewer Competition that will bring in 10 San Francisco brewers including Frement.Drink.Repeat, Magnolia Gastropub and Brewery and Pine Street Brewery to serve up a variety of beers so guests can sample and vote on their favorite.
